Summer

Allstar Lincoln

Sophia Rose and Daddy

This has been a great summer. Here are some recent pictures from a family get together at the beginning of August. The little girl with Sophia is her cousin, Olivia Tierny, Olivia is 2 months older than Sophia.
Lincoln joined a T-ball team. He can hit! He plays outfield unless he decides he is "over it" then he stomps off the field into the dug out leaving the coach holding his hat and glove. He hit a player in for a run last game. He says he had a lot of fun too.
Please pray for our patience. When it's all going on we start questioning if he should be in it but at the end of the day they all had fun and that's what this experience is all about.

Lincoln is in a mothers day out at a local church again this year. He didn't get into the school we planned for, we didn't want to put him in public school and become frustrated. So I get to keep my babies at home one more year (which is good, soon CS will be pushing me into the workforce!)

All Star Sophia

Sophia has been working on her vertical jump lately. She's still working . . .

Sorry it's poor quality, it's taken with my digital camera so there is no sound.

Easter Eggstravagaza!

Here Sophia is actually going for her first egg but Lincoln swoops in before she picked it up. (MiMi chased him down and made him give it back.)

Sorry it's been so long, no news no posts.

This week was Linco's spring break. We had sooo many adventures!

Out Easter was the best yet. Lincoln's class sang a special at church Easter Sunday and he did not disappoint his fans. They sang "Oh how I love Jesus," I had to force Linco to practice. He would say "I got it Mom, not right now." Or "I need to rest my voice I can only sing a little."

He knew the words "Loud and clear, Mommy, Loud and Clear . . .I have to sing Loud and Clear so everybody will hear me!"

He did great during sound check, walk up nicely and sang along sweetly. Put when the sanctuary was full, and the lights were turned down and the spot light shined on him, he became a bit of a microphone hog.

I am working on obtaining video.

The Egg hunts were great.

The pictures show her overall expression. Huh? Egg what?

We went ot a local hunt at a Charle Daniels Park on Saturday and we had our family egg hunt on Sunday. At the end of the hunt on Easter Sunday an egg opened and she discovered what all the fuss was about -jellybeans! She'd break open the eggs and scoop up the jelly beans before they ever hit the ground. By the end of it she was taking the other children's eggs to see what was in them. She only got a hold of a few pieces and despite our efforts we weren't able to retrieve it (she'd bite down like a snapping turtle!)

Sophia is so full of joy. She loves to sing and dance. She's been singing everytime she picks up any book or magazine-"Oh how I love my bible, my bible, my bible" it goes to the tune of "do you know the muffin man." Today she pointed at a picture of Lincoln and said "bubba." She bites Lincoln if she gets angry with him. She's no sissy. I like to keep her in dresses to remind her to be a lady. She is coloring, I have to watch her, she's getting much better about not eating the crayons.

When she runs she still throws her arms behind her like she's taking flight. And ofcourse she wants to walk all the time instead of being carried. What else, she loves to put on her coat or pick up a purse or bag and pretend she's leaving. Baaa !(bye) she waves and kisses as she walks away.

Lincoln is writing and sounding out things. He wants to know what every word says and what it means. The other day he was playing with the alphabet (all on his own!) he was practicing writing all the letters and giving them to Christian and I as a gift (it was on foam board). Some of the things he says floors me. The other day he said "Don't you DARE walk away from me! DON'T YOU DARE!" It was so sassy but I was laughing too hard to do anything. What else with him, he's totally into wearing boxers and he's letting his hair grow out b/c his Daddy is, you know. The boxers, he only had one pair and he wanted to wear them everyday which was a problem (Lincoln says "Plahblum"-he's trying) I found him more but they are little big so now he feels the need to yank them down and moon me several times (Lincoln says "Sevrlal") He's too much fun! He talks so grown up. Lincoln and Sophia get along great. She thinks everything he does is great!

Here they got stuck in the cabinet.

They were excited they both fit and then their glee turned to panic because they were stuck. Linco's leg was pinning Sophia in and Sophia was sitting on his leg! For the record I was taking pictures as it all unfolded, they were happy when I started.

I'll try to keep up. Love you all!

Sophia
